top: b-priceless, tanktop: buckle
let me tell you a little story about this tanktop. i was about 15 years old when i bought this from the buckle. i was in rapid city, south dakota visiting my sister Cheri. my sister and i were going to live with her for the summer while her husband was overseas in the air force.
i was at the mall there with my mom and sisters trying to apply for a job that summer. now i am not a shy person unless i'm put in awkward situations. what i consider awkward is probably a lot different than what you might consider to be awkward. Awkward: buying toilet paper, ( what will people think!? ) awkward: standing up in class to introduce yourself & to tell if you're married or not (welcome to byu-i-- some teachers really do ask you to do this at the beginning of the semester) and apparently applying for a job was too.
so i went into the buckle with the sole purpose of applying to work there for the summer. when i walked into the store, i started heading for the counter to talk with someone who worked there. well the closer i got the more i realized i just couldn't do it. i started getting anxious, sweaty, embarassed, etc. so what did i do? i pretended to shop. i didn't want to appear vulnerable or anything.
now the thing i hate about the buckle, (and also the thing i forgot until it was too late) was that they hover around you until you buy exactly what they wanted you to. ugh.
so here i am trying to 'apply' but i continued to let this poor guy try and find me outfits. now i have never been someone with a lot of money. i think i had $20 in my pocket, and at that time, i was hoping that would last me a few weeks haha. SO after AN HOUR of walking around the store, trying on item after item that was way too much for me, i finally picked this tank top. why? because it was the CHEAPEST thing i could find. i don't even wear tank tops really. smooth move brittany. i think i was driving my family crazy.
i did ask if they were hiring as i was checking-out... they weren't. so after an hour and $18.99 later, i still was jobless. at least i still have it right?

Isn't buying toiletries just awkward? I saw a guy in the grocery store line yesterday buying tampons and ice cream. The checkout lady told him that he might as well buy roses and chocolate while he was there.

you're so funny...
pregnancy tests especially around here are awkward for me to buy - I'm afraid someone I know will see me and be like oh you're pregnant when you're not ready to tell the world!
I've gotten better with tampons though it probably helps that you don't have to buy them as much when you get pregnant every couple years

At least it was a good quality tank top if it's lasted that long! haha.
