Christmas Cupcakes

I just got back from our 5th party this month. December is the month of get-to-gethers and I love it!
For our ward Christmas party, I was asked to bring some desserts and I didn't want to make cookies or brownies, I wanted to do something different.
I decided to make some Peppermint York Pattie cupcakes, & they were  sooo yummy!

I used a vanilla cake mix, peppermint york patties, peppermint frosting, food coloring, coconut & sprinkles.
Super cheap & fun to make!

You make the mix according to the directions on the box. You pour it into the cupcake pan & put the patties on top of the cupcakes. (they sink to the middle of the cupcake while it bakes.) When the cupcakes cooled, I added the frosting, sprinkles & then the coconut!
For the green cupcakes I had forgotten to put the patties on until the cupcakes had been cooking for a while. So I just put the frosting on top. Kinda lame, but no one seemed to notice :)
